| Review of minutes of last 2 meetings (being Q1 and 10th March 2023 (social)) – CO detailed the main points of both minutes in the agenda ahead of the meeting. The aim of this part of the meeting was to reflect on everything that has been achieved in the last 3 ½ months. |
| Matters Arising – Campaign Status (see agenda for full list of all items) – Continue to build our petitions – Continue to build awareness and encourage people to sign up to our newsletter – Continue to try to attract media attention – Collect factual data on the value of Hatton fields incl a habitat survey (could have a solution from a student from Royal Holloway), iNaturalist, GIGL register, consider a bat survey to be repeated |
| Matters Arising – Vision activities – CO explained that we have been broadening our understanding and our network (see agenda) – CO explained we have approached Heathrow Giving Back to once again see if they will help with some of our projects – CO explained we have approached Hatton Allotments to see if we could take a plot and have a community plot for people to use vs putting a community garden on the fields themselves – CO explained that Emil Kot (committee member) expressed an interest in organising a summer fun run and fitness day, perhaps at Bedfont FC |
| Matters Arising – Financial report PB provided a financial report including notification that we were successful in obtaining £2,000 from Crane Valley Partnership Fund. Our Easter expenses will be claimed against this fund including but not limited to our annual insurance premium. We are looking at other funds that could be relevant for us. PB also disclosed the amount of fundraising that we achieved from the Easter community event. Our bank account is still not set up, work in progress. We discussed some purchasing items within the committee. |
| Matters Arising – Committee Roles CO explained that we would still like to formalise some more committee roles. George Clover volunteered to be our Liaison officer for communicating with the Council. No objections and therefore this was accepted. |
| AOB – various stories and information was shared among participants on the history of the fields. Joan Chinery contributed a lot of information and CO has taken an action to try and capture some of these stories. |
| Date of the next meeting – 5th July 2023, venue tbc (could be at Flight Stables, weather depending) |
