Hounslow Council cabinet is meeting on 16th July and has released their agenda including the long awaited Local Plan. As expected, the new plan includes an allocation of part of Hatton Fields for development into warehousing/logistics. At the cabinet meeting Councillors will vote on whether to go out to consultation (regulation 19).
Once we know that the consultation is open, Friends of Hatton Fields will launch an awareness campaign and provide support with some of the reasons why we believe we should object to the plan and that the fields should be fully protected.
We will be writing to our MP, the Mayor’s office and we have already written to the London Greenbelt Council. You can find the plan here. The most relevant pages are 41-54.
